Acceptance
By creating an account or using nowrsvp, you agree to these terms. nowrsvp is operated by Chaptech Ltd, registered in England and Wales.
The service
nowrsvp allows you to create events, manage guest lists, send email and SMS invitations, and collect RSVPs. The service is accessible at nowrsvp.com and now.rsvp, both operated by Chaptech Ltd. The now.rsvp domain serves as an alternative address for the service and is also used to provide short invitation links (e.g. now.rsvp/s/abc123) that redirect guests to their personalised RSVP page. The service is provided as-is and is intended for personal and small event use.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of event information you publish.
- You must only add guests whose contact details you hold with a lawful basis under applicable data protection law (e.g. UK GDPR). By adding a guest's email or phone number you confirm that you have a legitimate reason to contact them about this event.
- When using the SMS invitation feature, you must ensure you have the recipient's consent or a legitimate basis to contact them by SMS. SMS invitations are sent via our provider Telnyx and must not be used to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
- You must not use the service to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
- You must not use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Guest data
When you add a guest's contact details to an event, you act as the data controller for that data. Chaptech Ltd processes it on your behalf solely to deliver the nowrsvp service (invitations, reminders, RSVP confirmations). Each invitation email includes a link that allows guests to remove their contact details at any time. You are responsible for ensuring your use of guest data complies with applicable law.
Address book
The address book feature lets you save contact details (name, email address, phone number, and an optional note) for people you invite to events. Saving someone to your contacts is entirely optional. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to store another person's contact details.
You can delete individual contacts or your entire address book at any time from the Contacts page. As a data minimisation measure, we automatically and permanently delete all of your contacts if your account has been inactive for 6 consecutive months. Contact records are separate from event guest history and are not affected by the automatic archival or deletion of events.
Intellectual property
The nowrsvp software and brand are owned by Chaptech Ltd. Your event content and guest data remain yours.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Chaptech Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from use of nowrsvp.
Changes to the service
We may update the service or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
